Man In Santa Hat Sought For Thefts

DUNSMUIR, Calif. (AP) ― Siskiyou County sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for a naughty Santa suspected of stealing cash, an unloaded shotgun and other items from unlocked vehicles.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Susan Gravenkamp says a man wearing a red-and-white Santa hat was spotted breaking into about 14 vehicles in Dunsmuir, a mountain town 200 miles north of Sacramento.

Gravenkamp says the bad Santa also stole two digital music players and a CD player overnight Friday.

Aside from the bright Santa hat, Gravenkamp says the man was dressed in dark clothing.
