Teen Arrested For Aiming Laser At Helicopter
PHOENIX (AP) ―
Phoenix Police have detained a 13-year-old boy after he allegedly pointed a laser at a police helicopter Monday evening.
Phoenix police say the helicopter was hit with a bright green laser light.
The air unit officers circled around to see where the laser was coming from.
Patrol officers found the suspect in the backyard of a central Phoenix residence with a green laser light in his possession.
Police say the boy was taken into custody. He's facing charges of reckless endangerment.
The boy is suspected of pointing a laser at other police and media helicopters.
