COMMENTARY (CBS13) ―
Like a lot of people, I keep a list of my personal heroes – Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King, Winston Churchill and a few others. Also on my list of heroes is freeway guru C.C. Myers. But today, C.C. is getting scratched off.
I'm hugely disappointed in C.C. for not getting the big Fix I-5 project done as quickly as he promised, and I'm sick of the whole project. I know, C.C. says it's not his fault, that the weather got too hot for him to pour concrete. Excuses, excuses.
The real heroes of the Fix I-5 project are the people who drive the freeway in Sacramento. These heroes have found other routes, stayed home or left town. If anyone deserves a bonus, it's the I-5 commuters. Sorry you couldn't take the heat, C.C. Better luck next time.
