The Scoop: Big Fix Not Quite Fixed

SACRAMENTO (EDITORIAL) ― One big gripe people have with contractors is they disappear before the work's done. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you I-5 in Sacramento. Notice something missing? That's right, there are no stripes to keep cars in their lanes on the Northbound side.

They called it the Big Fix, but it's not quite Fixed yet. Freeway guru C.C. Myers tore up the concrete and replaced it, but now, weeks later, the lanes haven't been marked, making for a wild ride down there.

And there's another stain on C.C.'s reputation, literally. His boys left a big, grimy, industrial stain on the side of the freeway, a welcome to Sacramento visitors. Hey, C.C! Don't cash that bonus check yet - come down here with some striping paint and a power washer and finish this job right!
