The Scoop: Arnold For Mayor

COMMENTARY (CBS13) ― One of the great guessing games here at the State Capitol involves the next act for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. He'd like to be president, but that can't happen – the constitution would have to be changed to let the Austrian Oak move into the White House.

But lately, a new rumor has been picking up steam in Sacramento – that Arnold has his eyes on Los Angeles City Hall. Becoming mayor of L.A. would let him keep the spotlight as an international big shot, not just a member of a club like the U.S. Senate.

I ran this by the governor's staff. They didn't say yes, and they didn't say no. They said the governor doesn't know what he'll do next, other then that his next job will involve public service, and the environment. Look at it this way – Mayor of L.A. qualifies on both counts.
