July 21 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Cane asks Lily to go look at a house together. Cane feigns indifference when Lily loves the house until he asks her to move in with him. Lily agrees to move in with Cane. Cane admits that he already bought them the house.  Later, Lily and Cane joke about how to decorate the new house but in the end are extremely happy, knowing they made the right decision. Cane asks Neil for his blessing to ask Lily to marry him. Amber introduces Chloe to Daniel but when he doesn't even look at Amber. Chloe promises to help Amber get Daniel back.  J.T. is wary of David when he and Victoria run into him and Nikki at the G.C.A.C., knowing that David Chow is a false identity.  J.T. gets a call from Paul and informs him that the Jupiter was a club for mob associates.  Paul asks his contact to check into David's juvenile records. 

Later, Paul explains to J.T. that David is running from something in his past. Walter informs David that he can't back out of this job. Meanwhile, Nikki sees some notes that Paul has made about David and demands to know what they mean.  Paul reveals to her that Angelo Serafini is David's real name.  Paul informs J.T. that Walter is wanted by the FBI for racketeering and murder.  Meanwhile, Nikki asks David about Angelo Serafini. Sabrina overhears Victor on the phone with a CEO, demanding he pull his advertising from Restless Style. Neil, Tyra, Nikki, J.T., and Victoria trick Ana into singing to Reed in order to audition for her the gala without the possibility of her getting too nervous.  Tyra and Neil share a warm moment as they discuss Ana and Lily growing up.

At the coffeehouse, Victor and Sabrina are looking at the first ultrasound of the baby, when J.T. arrives with Reed and Victoria and Nikki, in tow.  Victoria makes an effort to be civil and she explains to Sabrina about Ana and that she would like to consider using her for the gala.  Later, Victor reveals to Victoria that he wrote her and Nick out of his will. Later, Sabrina notices some sketches of Daniel's and offers to send them to a friend that runs a gallery in New York.  In return, Daniel asks Sabrina if he can sketch her.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Ridge and Brooke reveal to Rick their plans to be married and to run Forrester Creations.  Rick's reaction to the news is not what was expected.  Donna begins to panic and calls 911 when Eric doesn't respond to her.  After arriving at the hospital, Donna is informed that Eric had a heart attack and is in a coma.  Eric's children soon arrive at the hospital and immediately blame Donna for Eric's condition.  Donna turns the tables on Ridge and blames his desire to take the company away as the reason for Eric's heartbreak.  Marcus and Steffy come across the legal papers that Ridge had drawn up to take ownership of the company.

AS THE WORLD TURNS

As Paul and Meg question Mike, Aaron and Chris about who Sofie's baby's father could have been, Barbara finds an agitated Cole in her room, stealing her jewels. When she refuses to be shaken down by him, Cole leads her out at gunpoint. He takes her to the basement of the Old Mill where he tries to get her to write a ransom note. Realizing that he is a junkie and is the one that killed Sofie, a terrified Barbara ultimately writes the letter. Cole ties her up and delivers the note to Mike. When Cole returns, Barbara manages to free herself and stab Cole with a needle. She calls Paul and gets him enough information about her whereabouts before her phone dies.

Meg and Paul discover Barbara and bring her to the hospital, but Cole flees. Meg goes to the supply closet to get Barbara her medication when Cole comes up behind her. When Meg refuses to give him drugs, he shoots her. When Cole runs outside, Mike captures him but all remain unaware that Meg is lying in the closet, shot.

Susan gives Alison a bracelet that arrived from her father Larry and Aaron encourages Alison to wear it. Later, Alison works off her anxiety over nursing school by running at the gym. Chris is there too and when she feels dizzy, he shows her how to stretch and warm up. When Aaron arrives, she nearly passes out but assumes its because she isn't used to running. Chris offers to help again but Alison moves off pointedly with Aaron.

GUIDING LIGHT

Reva and Josh take in the setting of the movie as the characters prepare for "Josh and Reva's wedding". The memories of their past come rushing back as they watch the actors rehearse their lines and they are shocked when they are able to recite their original vows from their wedding day word-for-word. Cassie and Jeffrey arrive on the set of the movie but debate whether they should go in or not. Jeffrey feels that these are not his memories but more Josh and Reva's therefore does not have any desire to be there.

Just as Cassie and Jeffrey jokingly compare attending the recreation of the wedding to being in hell, Cassie gets a phone call from Josh. Josh and Cassie unexpectedly find each other and admit that their marriage has changed because they have changed. Reva and Jeffrey find each other and she thanks him for his support. Reva ends up walking away from Jeffrey upset from his comments as he starts to doubt how well he knows her. Reva and Jolene share a discussion about love and Reva tells Jolene what was going through her mind the day she married Josh. Cassie watches from a distance with jealousy as Reva and Josh dance together while Jeffrey explains that he is letting Reva have the freedom to choose him. Reva and Josh share a moment as their wedding song plays.

Cassie looks over to the dance area and sees Reva and Josh laughing and calls out to the entire production. Josh runs after Cassie and Reva admits to Billy that she would be a fool not to want what she and Josh shared back then. Cassie and Josh continue their conversation about their marriage and Cassie says that she believes that he wants to make their marriage work but needs it to be solid. They are interrupted when Josh is asked to intervene Billy and Jules, the actor playing Billy, who are in a heated argument.

Reva and Josh help their characters understand the vows. From a distance Josh sees Reva looking like she's going to fall in the water and races over to save her. Reva tells Josh that swimming away is easier than stepping back into the life she loved and the life that's gone forever. Josh suggests that their life together doesn't have to be over and tells Reva that it was a mistake for him to have walked away from her. Reva is shocked as Josh continues by saying he can't go back to Cassie after so much has happened. They are asked to pose for a publicity photo and later find themselves caught up in another complicated situation as they stand alone at the alter.
