Theodore Kaczynski "The Unabomber"
Ted Kaczynski terrorized the U.S. for nearly 20 years sending mail bombs to universities, airlines and other targets. He mailed approx. 16 bombs killing three people. Two of the deaths happened in Sacramento. In 1985, computer rental store owner Hugh Scrutton died outside his store. In 1995, timber industry lobbyist Gil Murray died. Kaczynski was finally arrested when his brother recognized his manifesto which had been published in several newspapers. Kaczynski plead guilty to all federal charges before his trial started in Sacramento. He is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole in the Supermax federal prison in Colorado.
