    Peanut Butter - If you want to get gum out of a carpet, first scrape up what you can, using an ice cube to stiffen it. Then rub a small glob of peanut butter into the carpet, and wipe up the whole mess. If there is a little left over, try to wipe it up with a soapy, wet cloth.
