Bear Cub Rescued By Firefighters

"Li'l Smokey" was rescued by a firefighter Thursday, July 17, in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest west of Redding. He is suffering from serious burns on his paws and was dehydrated, but the cub is expected to do just fine. Lil' Smokey is relaxing in his new larger cage. And he needed one! He nows weighs more than 35 pounds.
