This famous photo spread by e-mail purported to be National Geographic's "Photo Of The Year." It depicts a crewmember on a military helicopter having a fairly bad day near the Golden Gate Bridge. The photo is a composite of two images, one of an Air Force HH-60G Pave Hawk Helicopter during a training exercise, and another of a great white shark breaching the waves off of South Africa. National Geographic was forced to
assure readers that the image was a forgery.
