Save With Dave: Rivercats Family Fun
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Tonight, I'll show you how checking out a Rivercats game could give your family an evening of fun for less than $40.
What a better way to spend some quality family time together than with America's favorite past time?
And better yet, a trip to watch the Rivercats play is surprisingly affordable, especially on Fridays.
"Every Friday night is family feast night!"
So what will family feast night get you?
"If you wanted to sit out on the lawn for instance, you can buy for a family of four, four tickets for $7 each, for a total of $28. You can grab four hotdogs, four ice creams are a $1 a piece, and you into this for $36 and you have a great night," explains Alan Ledford, President and GM.
The Ferreira's say they save about $70 by taking their family of seven to a Rivercats game over going to the movies on a Friday night.
"It's usually about a $100 to go to the movies between food and tickets and everything, and here, I think we're probably less than $30."
Everyone we talked to agreed, you can't beat the price.
Movie tickets for a family of four, plus popcorn and a hot dog for each person could cost about $60.
Friday Feast night at the Rivercats will cost a family $36, including hot dogs and ice cream for everyone.
That means that you save at least $24!!
