The Scoop: Citizen Hotel

COMMENTARY (CBS13) ― For all you viewers who have been hungry to get a look inside the new four-star Citizen Hotel being built at 10th and J streets in Sacramento, this is your lucky day. The Scoop has arranged the first exclusive peek inside this project, which is going to be a beauty.

The Citizen was a classic office building from the last century. They gutted it, and turned it into a top-notch boutique hotel. There will be 200 rooms, bar and first-class restaurant called Grange, meeting space and even a rooftop terrace.

The Citizen is set to open in December, with rooms going from about $150 to $250 per night. The owners are a San Francisco group that specializes in restoring classic boutique buildings. This is the kind of project Sacramento could only dream about before the Citizen got here.
