SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― Disney says it's their way of spurring volunteerism, and giving back to the community.

They just announced it this week.

In the hopes of encouraging people like you to do volunteer work, you can get a free, one-day admission ticket to Disneyland or Disney World.

The "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" promotion will begin January 1st. Their goal is to get a million people to donate their time.

If you want to participate, they have a website which is disneyparks.com, where you can search for local volunteer opportunities.

They partnered with the hands on network that has 250 volunteer centers throughout the country and works with more than 70,000 nonprofit agencies, so you should have no problem finding some volunteer opportunities.

As you know, the price of admission at any theme park is pricey. Looking online, the best price we found to buy tickets was $42 a ticket.
