Save With Dave: Save $30 With Freepeats.org
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Parents can get everything from formula to high chairs to maternity clothes for free. All they have to do is check out freepeats.org.
Freepeats.org was launched in 2007, but it just opened a forum for the Sacramento area.
It's similar to Craigslist, except everything here is free and it's all geared toward children's and maternity items. Parents can post things they don't need anymore or take things others are giving up.
After you sign up, you can offer pretty much anything that's in good condition, but for safety reasons car seats and crib mattresses cannot be posted.
When you find something you need, you just email the person who owns it and arrange a time to pick it up.
Parents rave about getting free formula and baby food that other parents don't use.
Sacramento freepeats.org forum is just getting started, but as more members join, the offers will start pouring in.
We found someone offering two coupons for $5 off of Enfamil formula. Another mother is offering a brand new maternity shirt she doesn't need.
Joining freepeats is usually $5, but since Sacramento's Freepeats forum just launched, membership is free until April 30th.
Those two offers we found for the maternity top and formula would easily save an expecting mother $30!!
