Save With Dave: Title Trader
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Most books probably aren't worth reading more than once. In tonight's Save with Dave, I will show you how to turn your old books into a new library.
We've all got them, those bestsellers we read once, the mysteries that now sit up on a shelf gathering dust.
But now you can brush them off and use those old books to get some free stuff through a website called trader.com.
Here's how it works.
After setting up an account, you list the books you are willing to swap. If somebody sees one they like, you send it to them. Once they receive it, you get a credit on your account that allows you to choose an item from someone else's list.
You can also earn some extra credits by getting other people to sign up on the site.
While the sire is dominated by people looking to trade books, you can also exchange DVD's, CD's and video games. But it takes up to ten credits to get some of the games.
You will spend a couple of bucks on postage each time you send a book, but if you swap a book a week in the course of a year, you'll save about $312 on the list price of paperbacks.
