Save With Dave: Free Printer Ink On Earth Day

Tomorrow is Earth Day and one company is offering a special eco-friendly freebie.
Those little ink cartridges are something most of us use, but just hate to pay for, twenty dollars here, $30 there. But when they're empty, you might want to think twice about chucking them in the garbage.
"The cartridge itself takes about 450 years before it starts to decompose," said Frank Heredia, Cartridge World.
Places like cartridge world help keep the plastic out of our landfills by refilling and reusing empties.
"So if we cant recycle the cartridge here ourselves, then we send it back to a recycle center, the national recycle center where they grind it down and make use of it for asphalt intigrating or whatever they do with it," said Heredia.
Tomorrow, and tomorrow only, the chain is doing an Earth Day promotion. Bring in any empty ink cartridge and you'll get a full one for free!
"You just tell us what you need and we just come back here and swap out your empty for a full," said Heredia.
And if your printer isn't quite empty yet, bring the cartridge in anyway. You can still get a full one.
"A half full cartridge is not a problem because it's still going to go through the same process anyway," said Heredia.
