Save With Dave: Dealio.com & Honesty.com
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Shoppers can really find some steals at all those post-Christmas sales, but how do you know if you're really getting a good deal? We found two websites you might want to check before buying.
Dealio.com is not just another online coupon site. Yes, it posts some of the latest deals and discount codes, but what's really helpful is its price comparison feature.
Unlike other websites, Dealio.com includes EBay in its search for the best price.
This Canon digital camera's list price is $200, but after a quick search, you can find it as low as $155 at online retailers, but keep scrolling down and you'll see you can "Buy It Now" on EBay for $150, or maybe even find it cheaper if you bid on an auction.
If EBay is your best bet, don't make the purchase until you know it's a good deal.
Dealio's sister site, Honesty.com, will tell you what the average price of that item is on EBay. It also tells you what price is considered a bargain. So if we search for that camera, on average, it goes for $169, but according to Honesty, you're really getting a deal if you can find it for under $130.
We could save at least $50 if we buy that Canon on EBay.
