Save With Dave: $2 Coupons At Calif. Pharmacies
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Cashing in at two well known drug stores can be as easy as simply reading the labels.
The next time you visit a CVS pharmacy or Longs Drug store pay close attention to those product expiration dates. If you find a product like baby food, medications, or dairy products that's expired or past the "best by" date, you'll be able to get a coupon worth $2. It's part of the judgment against the two drug stores for violating state business and professions codes. The coupon can be used with any future purchase at a CVS or Longs Drugs store in California.
The rules of the settlement limit the coupon to one per visit regardless of the number of expired products you find during that visit. So it'll pay for you to help keep these stores in-line.
Let's say you go to the drug store twice in a week and each time you find an expired product, that's $4 in savings. And of course, every little bit helps.
