Save With Dave: Mother's Day Gift Ideas
(CBS13)
Mother's Day is this weekend. Do you know what you're getting mom?
We don't have to spend a fortune to show your appreciation.
Barbequing like is just one way to show mom your appreciation without spending a fortune. But there's lots of other low cost ways to show some love.
"I probably will do something fun like an outing that doesn't have to be as expensive. Maybe pedicures and lunch or something like that," said Laurie Didier. "Where you're spending the time together and it doesn't have to be really expensive."
Roxanne Dewey says she's planning a brunch that won't break the bank.
"I'm looking at a budget of about $50," said Roxanne.
Or do what Joe Latino's planning. It won't cost him a dime!
"I'm gonna write her a letter
talk about some of the things I've learned," said Joe Latino. "I wouldn't be the man I am if I hadn't had my mom."
The key is spending quality time together... Mom will appreciate that much more than money.
Taking mom out for a mother's day brunch could set a family of four back by about one $100 dollars including tax and tip. But by choosing to make mother's day brunch yourself you could cut the cost in half and save $50.
