Save With Dave: Save $11 With Halloween Freebies

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A lot of retailers use holidays as an excuse to give stuff away for free. So if you want to make the most of your Halloween, the free fun starts in the morning.

You know they're dying to put their costumes on, so why not indulge the kids and let them put on their "ghoulish garb" right away in the morning, because the first of our Halloween freebies is between ten and noon.

Michael's stores are housing a free family event where kids can make crafts. They get to take home a free balloon and a trick-or-treat pail with candy.

Next, head to Toys-R-Us. Between noon and three, the kids can parade around the store with Geoffrey the Giraffe. Kids will also get a free bag they can fill with goodies and giveaways.

Before you head out for some real trick-or-treating, fuel up with two food freebies. After 6 p.m., dress like a "boo-rito", salad or bowl and head to Chipotle and you'll get a free burrito. From what I've read, all you need is a little tin foil to wrap your in, like the burritos they serve.

At Taco Bell there is no costume required. Between six and midnight, the chain is giving away one "Blackjack" taco per customer.

Like always with these promotions, call to see if the stores near you is participating in these giveaways.

All those activities and freebies could save you over $11 on Halloween fun.
