SWD: Save $9 Dining At The Culinary Arts Cafe
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
The Culinary Arts Café opened back up a couple of weeks ago. It's a student-run restaurant operated out of Leo Palmiter Junior- Senior High School in Sacramento.
The Culinary Arts Café is cooking up another year of delicious deals.
These students with special needs are part of a program offered by the Sacramento County Office of Education.
They're learning job and social skills that will help them find work one day. The kids cook and serve up salad, a main course, dessert and drink.
Watching this program work wonders with students who have a hard time in a conventional school.
Good food and good service keep a group of regulars coming back. They know they're getting a good deal on lunch and at the same time helping to ensure a bright future for the students.
The Culinary Arts Café serves lunch Tuesdays and some Thursdays, with a different menu every time. Reservations are required.
A lunch like that would easily cost $15 at a restaurant, saving you $9.
