Tips on how to make a perfect burger:
  • Use only fresh, not previously frozen meat. - Season with salt, pepper and garlic.
  • Clip the patty (thin cuts in the meat) 3 times to help faster internal cooking.
  • Wait till edges are brown and juices flow to the top before flipping the patty, only flip once.
  • Using ice (with or without a lid) to steam the cheese will prevent overcooking the meat while waiting for cheese to melt.
  • Toasting the bun on the flat grill will brown and toast it to a crunchy bite.
  • Caramelizing the onions will sweeten the taste, not oily, not charred and bitter.
  • End result.....Juicy burger medium well, Perfect cheese melt, bun with just the right crunch, and onions sweetened by caramelization.
Eating a perfect burger should be a "Habit".
