2008 Calif. Chili Champ Recipe
Christine Vestfals' Lock, Stock & Two Smokin' Barrels Chili (2008 California State Champ)
Ingredients:
Brown beef in oil over high heat. Drain. Add tomato sauce, broths, bouillon and bring to boil.
Vegetable Oil 1 TBS
Ground or Cubed Beef 2 lbs
Tomato Sauce 8 oz
Beef Broth 8 oz
Chicken Broth 8 oz
Beef Bouillon ½ tsp
Chicken Bouillon ½ tsp
1st Dump - Add following. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
Chili Powder 1 TBS
Garlic Powder 2 tsp
Onion Powder 1 TBS
2nd Dump Add ingredients below and simmer, covered for ½ hour.
Chili Powder 3 TBS
Cumin 1 tsp
Ground Pepper ¼ tsp
Cayenne Pepper ¼ tsp
Sazon Goya 1 packet
3rd Dump Add ingredients below and simmer, covered for 15 minutes.
Chili Powder 2 tsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Garlic Powder 1 tsp
Salt & Pepper To taste
