Garlic & Herb Cheddar Cheese Fondue

In honor of National Cheese Fondue Day, The Melting Pot restuarant is sharing some of it s delicious fondue recipes.

Ingredients:

3 oz. domestic beer
¼ heaping tsp. minced garlic
5-6 oz. shredded Sharp Cheddar/Emmenthaler cheese (80/20 blend), dusted lightly with flour
3 oz. Green Goddess dressing
½ tsp. of fresh ground pepper
Melting Pot Garlic & Wine Seasoning (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Pour beer into double boiler or fondue pot and turn on heat.
  2. As beer is warming, add minced garlic. Blend.
  3. Add small quantities of cheese blend and mix thoroughly using a whipping motion until cheese is melted.
  4. Continue to add small quantities of cheese to bring to proper consistency.
  5. Add ½ tsp. of pepper. Sprinkle with four shakes Melting Pot Garlic & Wine Seasoning.
  6. Gently fold pepper and seasoning into cheese.
  7. Serve with bread cubes and assorted vegetables for dipping.
Serves 1-2 persons
