Voters in California's Orange County are picking a new legislator Tuesday to fill a seat left vacant after a lawmaker's sex comments led to his resignation.

Republican Assemblyman Mike Duvall stepped down in September after being caught on videotape bragging about kinky romps with lobbyists.

Five candidates are on the ballot but it's mostly been a showdown between two Republicans: county Supervisor Chris Norby and Republican National Committee member Linda Ackerman.

A candidate needs to clear 50 percent of the vote to win outright. Otherwise, a runoff will be held Jan. 12 with the top vote-getter from each party.
