Sacramento K9 Officer Featured In National TV Ad
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
A Sacramento police officer and his award-winning K9 partner have gone Hollywood.
Officer John Azevedo, his wife and his police partner "Blitz" star in a national television commercial for Eukanuba dog food.
"Blitz is my husband's partner. He helps keep my husband safe. In a sense, he's his eyes and his ears," Officer Azevedo's wife can be heard saying in the ad as her husband and Blitz work through an obstacle course.
The Sacramento Police Department approved of the idea because they were already serving Eukanuba to their dogs. And besides, the Sacramento Police Department got $40,000 for doing the ad.
The money will be used to buy two new police dogs and purchase supplies for the K9 unit.
