Reward Offered In El Dorado County Kitten Killings
PLACERVILLE (CBS13) ―
The Humane Society of the United Statesis offering a reward in an El Dorado County animal cruelty case involving two kittens who were tortured and beaten.
The dead kittens were found in front of the Animal Services' shelter in Placerville last Wednesday. A veterinarian who examined the kittens says they were about 4 months old and looked like they were restrained, tortured and beaten to death.
"It is appalling and distressing that these kittens had to suffer such a horrific death," stated Lt. Warren Candler, Supervising Animal Services Officer. "We are concerned about the seriousness of this crime against animals and are actively collecting evidence."
Anyone with information about the deaths of the two kittens or who may be responsible is asked to call Animal Services Officer Heather Gildersleeve at (530) 621-7641.
