Bear And Two Cubs Spotted In Granite Bay Tree

GRANITE BAY, Calif. (CBS13) ― A trio of brown bears attracted a lot of attention Monday after they were spotted wandering around a Granite Bay neighborhood.

A mother bear and her two cubs were seen in a tree in the Lake View Hills on North Lake Circle. They spent the day in the backyard of Don Tebbs. Tebbs and an arborist he hired to help remove the tree, found the bears.

Neighbors say they have never seen bears in the area.

The Department of Fish and Game said they will let the bear and her cubs stay there because it's hibernation season.
