Stolen Deaf Puppy Found, Returned To Owner

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) ― It's a doggone good morning for 'Dodger' the deaf dog who was stolen just a few days ago.

'Dodger' spent a few hours being reunited with his sister at the Placer county SPCA yesterday--before being reunited with his new owner.

The deaf dog was stolen from his temporary shelter home Sunday night.

Yesterday, he was returned by a man who says he bought Dodger for a most unusual item:

"A homeless man who said he had acquired dodger last night had purchased him for a bottle of booze..actually," Placer SPCA Director Leilani Vierra told CBS13.

It's still unclear who took Dodger.

Dodger will now go to work right away as an education dog teaching kids how to overcome obstacles in life.
