West Sacramento Neighbors Fair invites you to celebrate "Our Heritage, Our Future" with a one day cultural fair featuring diverse foods, crafts, KidsZone and live entertainment with R&B artist, Lenny Williams! Join 4,000 other people enjoying a beautiful day on the Sacramento River.

The Parade starts at 10:30 a.m., winding through the streets of Broderick and West Sacramento continuing with Fair activities from 12-5 p.m. at River Walk Park at 3rd & F Streets. Watch the Great Sacramento Duck Race at 3 p.m.

St. Jude Dream Giveaway

Special thanks to all of our viewers who purchased a raffle ticket to help Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital. Join CBS 13 and CW 31 for the American Cancer Society's 13th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and help us get one step closer to a world with more birthdays. Will you walk for your daughter, your mother, your sister, your wife, your friend? When your foot hits the pavement at Making Strides, you'll be helping someone with breast cancer find a ride to treatment, funding groundbreaking research to find cures, and creating a world with more birthdays and less breast cancer. This is your opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, remember people we have lost, and raise funds and awareness to help end this disease. Together, we make a difference, make history, and make strides! CBS anchors Pallas Hupe and Brandi Hitt will be there as celebrity emcees!

WALK LIKE MADD: Let's Eliminate Drunk Driving

For the past several years, CBS13 and CW31 have been proud sponsors of the MADD Fundraiser. This year, the 5K Walk is on Saturday, October 17 at beautiful Southside Park in downtown Sacramento. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and the Walk Ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. The funds raised provide community education, victim support services and youth programs. MADD has a proven track record of saving lives, and every step taken and every pledge made will help raise funds and awareness for MADD's programs and services that will help serve to make our communities safer!

Professional Business Women of California Presents: 'Across the Generations'

Mark your calendars for November 13th for an amazing day: the Professional Business Women of California (PBWC) presents Across the Generations. Join the largest women's organization in the State for a day of learning, networking, training and development! It's their 5th Annual Sacramento Conference. Naomi Tutu (daughter of Nobel Peace Laureate Desmond Tutu), Lisa Ling (Sac native and former Co-Host of the View) and Stephanie Brown-Trafton (2008 Beijing Olympic Gold Medalist and Galt resident), will serve as just some of the terrific keynote speakers. Drive Thru Beat The Flu

Once again CBS13 and CW31 are sponsoring Beat the Flu campaigns throughout Northern California. Partnering with the Sutter Visiting Nurse Association's (VNA) Flu program, shots are available at a number of locations. Cost of the shot is $30.00. If you are covered by Medicare Part B, there is no cost to you for the shot. Sutter VNA and Hospice will bill Medicare for payment.

The first Beat the Flu clinic is October 17th at Carmichael Honda. The clinic is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the dealership located on the corner of Greenback and Auburn Blvd., just off I-80. Come down to Carmichael Honda and the first 200 people to get their flu shot will receive $5 off your flu shot, compliments of Carmichael Honda!
