Fire Breaks Out At SoCal Lumber Yard

LYNWOOD (CBS13) ― A fire in a lot full of wooden pallets sent flames soaring in Lynwood, but there are no reports of injuries and firefighters have nearly knocked it down.

Los Angeles County fire inspector Ron Haralson says the fire broke out in the 80-by-80 foot lot at about 6:20 a.m. Tuesday just north of the Century Freeway.

Haralson says about 50 firefighters were close to putting out the blaze an hour later.

The California Highway Patrol says the fire is not affecting traffic.

Haralson says there are a few homes near the fire, but none have burned.
