Arrest Made In Pa. Arson Fires

COATESVILLE, Pa. (CBS) ― Police in Coatesville, Philadelphia have made an arrest in several of the arson fires that have plagued the city for more than a year, reports CBS station KYW-TV.

Sources say a 19-year-old Chester County male was arrested Wednesday and is expected to be charged with setting seven of the fires, including the blaze on Fleetwood Street that burned several row homes.

Sources say the arrest comes after the suspects name was brought to the attention of police during the investigation.

Sources indicate an additional arrest could be made.

Police have scheduled a 5 p.m. news conference to discuss the arrest.

Coatesville is about 35 miles west of Philadelphia.
