U.S.: N. Korea Must Provide Nuclear Program List

WASHINGTON (AP) ― The top U.S. envoy at stalled North Korean nuclear disarmament talks says he will offer ideas to jump-start negotiations when he meets Thursday with his North Korean counterpart in Geneva.

But the envoy, Chris Hill, told reporters Wednesday that talks will go nowhere if the North does not provide a promised complete list of all its nuclear programs.

Hill is not giving details on the ideas. But he says the United States is willing to be flexible on the format North Korea uses to provide the nuclear declaration.

He says any list must include details on U.S. allegations of a secret uranium nuclear program.

North Korea was supposed to hand over its nuclear list in December.
