Dramatic footage of an explosion going off in a Gaza City street was captured on video Thursday, as Israeli warplanes continued to bombard the coastal strip.
It was not immediately clear what caused the explosion, which went off by the wreckage of a burnt out car, however Palestinian sources say that it was caused by an Israeli shell.
The sources say that the car was shelled twice; three Palestinians were wounded in the first shelling and an Al-Aqsa cameraman was injured by the second shelling.
The injured were taken to a hospital in Gaza City.
Israeli planes continued on Thursday to bomb parts of Gaza, hitting three government buildings and the parliament in Gaza City, and positions were targeted overnight in Rafah and the Gaza-Egypt border area.
Aircraft also went after Hamas police and their vehicles on Thursday.
Hospital officials said 25 wounded were evacuated from their houses in Gaza City.
Meanwhile, navy ships opened fire on Hamas positions along the coastline, as Israeli ground forces prepared for a possible ground invasion of Gaza, moving thousands of troops to the border, along with armored vehicles and artillery pieces.
More than 400 Gazans have been killed and more than 1,600 have been wounded since Israel embarked on its aerial campaign on Saturday, Gaza health officials said.
The United Nations says the Gaza death toll includes more than 60 civilians.
Three Israeli civilians and one soldier have also died in rocket attacks that have reached deeper into Israel than ever before, bringing one-eighth of Israel's population within rocket range.
