Improving My Credit Score

QUESTION:  What steps can I take to improve my credit score?

ANSWER:    There are several things that people can do to improve their credit score.  One of the most important is to make all payments on time.  Another suggestion, is to keep the ratio of credit used to the amount of credit you have available limited to no more than 1/3.  Meaning, if you have a credit limit of $3,000, you should refrain from having a balance of more than $1,000.  Credit agencies view individuals who use a high percentage of their available credit as credit risks.
