Mom's World: Sending Time Outs For A Time Out

I know there have been times when my boys push my buttons and act out in a behavior that is not acceptable. So what do I do, but send them into a time out.  But, is this right?  A local mom, childhood educator, preschool owner, and author is trying to put a stop to time outs.  Julie Jenkins Sathe has an alternate plan to giving children time outs.  She says it starts with talking to children about the behavior that's expected.  Her book is entitled, Safe, Kind and Clean (Behavioral Education) and there is no spanking allowed.  Julie runs Caring Connection Children's Center in West Sacramento and she practices what she has written If you would like more information about her book you can go to her website:  www.safekindandclean.com.
