Mom's World: Mad Money

SACRAMENTO (CBS13/CW31) ―    Teaching children about the value of a dollar is difficult at times.  They just think you go up to a machine, punch some buttons and money is always available.  I remember when I was little and my mom would say we didn't have enough money for something,  I would reply, "Just write a check."  Don't we wish as adults it was that simple.

This is where a national program comes into place.  It teaches middle school students the importance of money through a fun and interactive, improv play.   It's called, "Mad Money." The actors are with the National Theater for Children.  They go across the country and perform at middle schools.  Through their comedic skills and high energy performance they teach kids about saving, avoiding credit card debt and budgeting finances.    Where was this program when I was young?
