Mom's World: Cleaning Tips
ROCKLIN (CBS13/CW31) ―
I know I'm crazy, but I don't mind cleaning my house. I love to find products that get the job done and don't cost a fortune. I decided to do this story after discovering the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. No, I'm not getting paid to endorse the product. I just like to share with friends when I find a good thing. It takes off color crayon on walls without taking off the paint.
Another cleaning product that works is Folex. It's not in a brightly colored bottle and I have never seen any advertising on it, but again it works. It usually costs under $5 and you can find it on the bottom store shelves. It's great at getting out carpet stains.
I also got some helpful cost cutting cleaning tips from a pro and mother of two. Jessica Couch owns Home Run Cleaning Service. They clean houses and business in Rocklin, Lincoln, Sacramento, Folsom, El Dorado Hills and a few other cities.
She says lemon oil is great for cleaning leather furniture and getting rid of pet hair. She also uses hydrogen peroxide mixed with water to remove stains from upholstery. I saw it first hand and it works!
I think I know what I'm going to be doing this weekend, and with a storm coming in, I'm going to get a jump start on spring cleaning.
