Skydiver Dies After Yolo Airport Accident
YOLO, Calif. (CBS13) ―
One of the two skydivers injured Saturday during a festival has died, according to officials.
Kenneth Knigge, 48, and another jumper became entangled while attempting to fall in formation after opening their chutes at about 2,000 feet above the ground. The Martinez resident and another man spiraled out of control and slammed into the ground near the Yolo County Airport.
Knigge, a Martinez resident, was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital.
Roseville resident Jon Hartman, 54, remains hospitalized after the incident.
