Woodbridge Grass Fire Under Control

WOODBRIDGE (CBS13) ― Fire fighters worked late into the night to control a fire burning in the Woodbridge Wilderness area.

The fire was reported Sunday afternoon near River Meadows Drive along the Mulkolumne River, near Wilderness Way, according to a San Joaquin County fire dispatcher.

Burning embers were reported to be falling on the roofs of some homes but did not burn them.

The fire burned about eight acres before fire fighters had it under control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
