Smoke From Fires Creating Unhealthy Air

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― You can see it and you can smell it the moment you step outside. As you look across Sacramento there is a blanket of haze hovering over the entire area. For those of you who are sensitive to this type of thing, doctors recommend you take precautions.

Experts say all of this smoke that is blanketing the valley causes a varied number of health concerns. It is harmful to your lungs and nose and even healthy people will experience certain problems.

Health officials say that the most at risk are the elderly, small children and people with asthma and respiratory conditions.

Officials are also urging people to say indoors and keep their air conditioning running.
