Two children who were allegedly abducted by their father during a court-allowed visit earlier this week have been found safe.
At around 7 p.m. Friday, Sacramento County Sheriff's detectives tracked the suspect, Daniel Gwilliam, to a home on the 4400 block of Bacall Ct. in Sacramento. They arrested Gwilliam and also found the children at the home in good health, according to Sgt. Tim Curran, Sacramento Sheriff's Spokesman.
The children were returned to their foster family.
Gwilliam will be questioned and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on the charge of parental abduction.
The kids, Tyler, 6, and Lilly-Ann, 20 months, were visiting their father at a county visitation facility at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday when he took them, say witnesses.
The children have been wards of the court since February, 2009.
