Dozens Of Men Arrested In Undercover 'John' Sting
SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) ―
Despite the economy, the sex industry in Sacramento appears to be thriving, and local authorities say they have the arrests to prove it.
An undercover sting operation carried out by local law enforcement overnight Friday landed nearly a dozen men behind bars who allegedly were ready and willing to pay for sex.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, along with the Twin Cities Police Department conducted a 'John Sting' well into the night focusing on North Highlands along Watt Avenue.
In the last year and a half, law enforcement officers have conducted numerous stings resulting in the arrest of over 200 men and women.
"We are making an impact on the prostitution problem out here and it has decreased significantly but unfortunately where there's one, that's too many," said Kate Adams of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Dept.
