Police: Empty Vodka Bottle Found In Victims' Car

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS13) ― Police say investigators found an empty vodka bottle in the car of the men who were attacked by an escaped tiger at the San Francisco Zoo.

Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Mannina says the bottle was on the front seat of the car, but it's still unclear whether the discovery is relevant to the tiger attack.

Seventeen-year-old Carlos Sousa was killed and his two friends were severely injured when a 350-pound Siberian tiger escaped its enclosure on Christmas Day.

The zoo's director insists something was done to provoke the tiger, named Tatiana, to climb or jump out of its pen.

The attorney for the two surviving victims, Mark Geragos, denied allegations that the victims taunted the animal. He also cast doubt on the vodka bottle finding.
