Thunder Valley Expansion Breaks Ground Today

LINCOLN (CBS13) ― Today marks the kickoff of a major construction project for Placer County.

Thunder Valley Casino will celebrate the groundbreaking of its billion dollar expansion.

The project includes the construction of a five star, 23 story hotel on top of the current facility. In addition to restaurants, a convention center and performing arts center are slated to open.

The United Auburn Indian Community which owns the casino near Lincoln says it will create thousands of jobs for Placer County.

It's set to be completed in July 2010.
