Investigators are searching for two armed suspects who forced their way into a family home and robbed the couple inside on Thanksgiving Day.
After spending the day entertaining guests at their Citrus Heights home on Thanksgiving, Mark Martucci and his wife were expecting their son to be at the door when they heard a knock at about 9:00 p.m.
When Mark opened the door, a shotgun-toting suspect forced his way into the home and held him and his wife at gunpoint along with another suspect.
"They yelled, 'I want your money, your wallet, and your cell phones,'" Mark said.
The two victims surrendered the items and the suspects fled.
"They were out of here in under two minutes," Mark said.
The Citrus Heights Police Department is searching for the two suspects, described as white male adults, one in his early 30s, the other in his early 20s, both wearing baggy clothing.
Authorities recommend that residents do not open their front doors unless they know the person on the other side.
