Tavern On The Green To Open Restaurant In S.F
NEW YORK (AP) ―
San Franciscans will soon be able to dine on Tavern on the Green in their very own city.
The independently owned Central Park landmark says it will open Tavern on the Green San Francisco in the summer of 2009.
The new restaurant will overlook the Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco's main business district.
It will have 30,000 square feet of interior space and a 13,000 square feet outdoor terrace overlooking the park and the city's skyline.
Tavern on the Green San Francisco will be near the Moscone Convention Center and numerous museums.
An executive chef has not yet been named, but the Tavern's chief operating officer, Michael Desiderio, says the cuisine will feature local, fresh California ingredients and wines from the area's vineyards.
