Street Racing Crash Knocks Out Power To Hundreds
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
SMUD crews are still trying to restore power to hundreds of customers hours after an alleged street racing accident took out a power pole.
The crash happened last night on Florin Road at Pritchard. The California Highway Patrol and utility officials say a Chevy Camero crashed into the pole during a street race. No one was hurt.
The crash knocked out power to 6,400 homes.
This morning power remains out to about 1,200 customers
SMUD crews are working to repair the damage which they say could take hours.
No critical injuries reported were reported in the accident.
