Alleged Stockton Groper Arrested

STOCKTON (CBS13) ― A San Joaquin County man is under arrest for allegedly assaulting women on the streets.

Several women in a Stockton neighborhood near St. Joseph's Medical Center have reported becoming the victims of a serial groper. Police say the sudden burst of similar incidents caught their attention.

One victim ran into the hospital and alerted security after she was allegedly assaulted. Witnesses identified Juan Ramirez through a photo lineup, and authorities believe he's responsible for at least five assaults.

Because the investigation dates back to January of this year, officers are concerned that there may be more victims that have not yet come forward.
