Teen Killed In South Sacramento Parking Lot
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
A teen was gunned down while visiting a friend in South Sacramento on Saturday night, according to authorities.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said the 16-year-old male was near a friend's house on the 4100 block of 49th Avenue when shots rang out at about 9:35 p.m.
Witnesses said the victim was shot in the head while standing in the crowded parking lot at the Bowling Green Village apartment complex.
"He was looking at me, he was moving around," said Antoinne Washington. "He was breathing all the way until the police walked up."
The victim's friend was walking to meet the teen when the shooting occurred and spotted four Hispanic males running away through the parking lot, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Police have not identified a motive for the shooting. Investigators ask anyone with information on the crime to call Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
